Between 60 and 70 brave anglers attended this year's Kingdom Builders Ministries annual fishing derby. This was the sixth annual ice fishing contest, and there were plenty of fish and prizes to go around. The largest northern caught weighed in at 4.03 pounds. The largest bass was 2.38 lbs. Osprey Wilds Environmental Learning Center in Sandstone will expand by 562 acres through the donation of Blacklock Nature Sanctuary and the purchase of property adjoining the sanctuary east of Moose Lake. The Cloquet Police Department issued a news release Monday that they are investigating the "suspicious" death of an unidentified woman last week on the Fond du Lac Reservation and within Cloquet city limits. According to the news release: At approximately 7:24 a.m., Thursday, March 3, the Cloquet and Fond du Lac Police departments, along with the Cloquet Area Fire District responded to 956 Trettel Lane in Cloquet on a medical call. A 74-year-old Cloquet man is facing charges of sexually assaulting a child who was not a stranger to him. Edward Christian of Cloquet was charged with six counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree for allegedly performing sexually penetrative acts with a female child under the age of 10 years old.
