The veteran defenseman announced this week he had committed to play NCAA Division 1 hockey at the institution based in Troy, New York. A crash between a motorcycle and car in Mahtowa Wednesday night killed the motorcycle driver, identified as 47-year-old Justin Eller of Esko.
