    Rollin "Giiwedin" Francis Smith, 77, of Cloquet passed away Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021 in St. Luke's hospital in Duluth. He was born Feb. 28, 1944 in Cloquet to Jay and Lizzie (Bear) Smith. Rollin married Peggy Saylor on Nov. 20, 1982 in Denver. Rollin was a proud band member and worked for the Fond du Lac Reservation.     Marietta Erickson, 83, of Cloquet passed away Oct. 6, 2021, at North Shore Estates in Duluth. She was born Jan. 31, 1938, in St. Paul, the daughter of Stanley and Evelyn (Kurkoski) Wresh. She was united in marriage to Leonard Erickson in May of 1981. Marietta was an avid artist and did wood paintings. She was active for more than 30 years with art and craft fairs.     The Cloquet school board on Monday voted to approve a preliminary levy for next year at the maximum level as budget numbers are still being worked out.
