Douglas George Halverson, 72, passed away July 30, 2023, after a brief illness with ALS, surrounded by his family. He was born on Oct. 20, 1950, the son of George and Germaine Halverson in Coniston, Ontario. Doug graduated from Michigan Technological University with a degree in metallurgical engineering in 1973. He was united in marriage to Toni Lee Dal Santo on July 27, 1974. His career in metallurgy brought him and his family to Minnesota in 1976, and during his career he worked for Hanna...
