Last January former Cloquet-Esko-Carlton and UMD hockey player Karson Kuhlman was claimed off waivers by the Seattle Kraken of the NHL. On a hot July summer day, 64 players gathered for the third annual Gary "Moose" Pastika memorial golf fundraiser at the Cloquet Country Club. Pastika was an avid golfer and a 50-year member of the Cloquet Country Club. In his final match, Baker defeated Aaron Young, his Cloquet High School golf coach.
