    Wanda Marie Rose, 64, of Cloquet passed away at her home on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022. She was born on Sept. 6, 1958 in Butte, Montana to Duane and Betty Rose. She worked as a nurse’s aide for many years, then opened her own daycare. She loved being around children. Wanda always had her birds and flowers, and loved all animals. Anne was born on Jan. 15, 1969, to Reuben and Susan (Walsh) Swenson in Edina. She grew up in Mahtowa, where she enjoyed riding her horse during her younger years.     Carlton County residents are encouraged to recycle their fresh-cut Christmas trees during Treecycling, a free program with drop-off locations throughout the region. Christmas trees, like yard waste, are banned from landfills in Minnesota.     The Minnesota Department of Transportation sent out a reminder to the public this week to say it is illegal to deposit snow on or next to a public highway or street. Snow on or near public roads can create hazards such as drainage, drifting and sight obstruction, MnDOT said in a news release. Minnesota law and many local ordinances prohibit the plowing, blowing, shoveling or otherwise placing of snow onto public roads or sidewalks.
