Well, I did it. I took the plunge! The water's great and I aim to help keep it that way! No, I didn't literally jump into the water, especially this time of year! Brrrrrr! But after thinking about it for several years, I decided that now was the time to put away "all talk, no action" and jump into being a citizen water monitor (CWM) volunteer. As with any job, especially volunteer work, you have to learn what to do and how to do it, where to do it, why it needs to be done, and why you should do...

It’s good to be back in Minnesota and my home, after traveling to Washington, D.C. with my son and grandson. We had a wonderful time visiting the many memorials and monuments, and especially the cherry blossoms which were at their peak, but it’s always great to get back home. Congratulations to Sara and Dustin Rahja on the birth of their son, Riley Leonard, on April 5, 2019. Proud grandparents are Carrie and Wayne Lind, and Pam and Bob Rahja. Also, congratulations to Vance Anderson on his rec...
Spring seems to be here - and if not, at least the promise of spring is finally in the air after a good five months of winter. But I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop. Last year, the last blizzard blasted us on April 23. Spring never seems to be a sure thing around here. Only winter is a sure thing, it seems. What a winter we're shaking off! Some towns set snow records and others came close to the state low record. The Cotton area missed it by only four degrees. Temperature stats for...
Hello, readers! I guess the results of the state boys basketball tournament appearance didn’t go as hoped for, but our team, the coaches, the students and fans represented Cromwell-Wright in spectacular fashion. We couldn’t be more proud of you and it sure was a great ride for this group of guys. The goal of one more was reached, so what more can you say? As many of you know, when Minetties burned down, I also lost my complete collection of Wrong Days Buttons. It is sad to realize they are gon...

The U.S. Postal Service depends on you to meet postal requirements regarding delivery and collection of mail to curbside boxes.
