    The Moose Lake Historical Society will focus on the recovery and rebuilding after the 1918 Fires starting at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Soo Line Event Center in Moose Lake. Tuesday, Oct. 12 is the 103rd anniversary of the fires, which devastated the area with loss of life and unprecedented property damage in the history of Minnesota.     The 14th annual Cloquet River Run will take place Saturday, Oct. 2. The Cloquet River Run is a fundraising activity offering a 1-mile or 5K run/walk that promotes healthy lifestyles in our children and community, organized by the Churchill parents group since 2007.     Instead of a funeral, hundreds of coworkers and friends gathered with the family of Gordy Lundquist Sunday to remember the man they adored at the place that has become a Cloquet icon. There were 194 steaks from the Farmers Co-op in Wright served at the Friday night fry. Sue Youngberg won the Cardinal Quilters donated quilt.
