Petite’s voice needed on RBC
The voters in Fond du Lac Reservation Cloquet District 1 will be casting their ballots on Dec. 4.
Electing Patty Petite, who has a doctorate in education, will strengthen our RBC with a member who understands that making cultural policy affects our communities both on and off the reservation. Her voice has been ongoing, standing strong for all us band members to be heard and their issues addressed. Her stance on being fiscally responsible has been demonstrated through her many roles on boards and director of programs. She will be ready to meet all of the challenges put before her and to work as a member of the Reservation Business Committee.
Please support Patty Petite and vote for her on Dec. 4.

Kudos to youth’s skate park efforts
I am very excited to have a Pine Knot newspaper again. Thank you for stepping out and creating this paper.
I’d like to also mention the skate park. As a grandmother with two grandson skateboarders (in the past, because they are in their 20s now),
I am so happy for the young people.
Hooray for the young people who have worked so hard to see this through.
I will stop at the curb and watch them — how enjoyable — there are so many there on any given day that they have to wait their turn.
Oh, and also people with scooters.
