The earthquake that hit Anchorage, Alaska affected Brandon Burns' family. Luckily, no one was hurt, but there was quite a bit of damage to their home. Brandon was thankful he wasn't in the air flying, as no planes were allowed to land and his wife and daughter would have been left to fend for themselves. It seems like a miracle that no one was killed in this latest earthquake. Alaskans have worked hard in the past years to make as many areas earthquake-proof or at least limit the damage.
Basketball season has started and a few games have already been played. We have some very talented players on both the boys and girls teams, so please try to come out and take in a game from time to time. Game schedules are at the school or on each Bus Bulletin in area businesses.
