Hello, Baby!

First baby of the new year arrives

At last, the first baby born in 2019 at Community Memorial Hospital has graced the new year with her presence. Harper Grace Frank arrived at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, weighing in at 5 pounds and 12 ounces, and 18.5 inches long.

Her parents are Allie and T.J. Frank, and she joins siblings Addison, age 31/2, and Lilian, 18 months, in the family's Cloquet home. Harper's maternal grandparents are Leslie Solseth of Cloquet and the late Andy Doble. Her paternal grandmother is Michelle Norton of Milwaukee, Wis.

Mom Allie said they are incredibly grateful for the "awesome staff" at CMH.

"We love our doctor and the nurses and had the same staff for all three of our girls' births," she said, adding that they were blessed by a case of diapers and a gift basket from the hospital. Harper also received a free year's subscription from the Pine Knot News (it's never too early to start reading your local paper!)

Harper was delivered by Dr. Erin Louks-Smith along with nurses Karen Schwinn and Lisa Flaherty.
