The Cloquet sixth-grade girls basketball team won the C1 Grade State Championship played at Champlin Park High School March 2-3.
The girls went 4-0 with wins against Mendota Heights, Park Center and Prior Lake, before defeating Minnetonka in the championship.
The sixth-grade girls ended their season with a record of 18-7. They improved steadily throughout the season, finishing first in three of their last four tournaments heading in to Grade State.
Team members included Ella Maslowski, Tyjha Henderson, Ahna Bader, Lily Van Hoever, Ahnna Carlson, Alivia Follet, Paige Gorenson, Sarah Turner, Makena Smith and Olivia Jutila. The team was coached by Adam Maslowski and Paul Turner.
