“Often when you think you’re at the end of something, you’re at the beginning of something else.” ~ Fred Rogers

As with any life-changing event, retirement involves an ongoing process of emotional adjustment. While some people seem to transition seamlessly, others struggle. While reasons vary, some may include a loss of self image, the realization that retirement will be one of the last transitions in your life, the unsettling nature of change, or even uncertainty about what the future holds. One way to combat this is to reshape your outlook, revitalize relationships, and discover what may be a new purpose. Volunteering is a way many retirees opt to adapt.

If you would like information about local volunteer opportunities, please feel free to give Cathy at Volunteer Services a call, 218-879-9238. Whether you like to serve in the background, or be on the front lines, we will work with you to find the perfect match for you. Volunteers serve in just about every wonderful way imaginable. Just a few options are listed next.
