Darold D. Gregory, age 79 of Cloquet, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2019 due to dementia. He was born July 11, 1939 in Bagley, MN to Edwin and Glenna (Spencer) Gregory.
Darold was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Angie Dilly, Carolyn “Peggy” Goode, Cleone “Tootsie” Cheater, and Lanette “Babe” Baker. He is survived by Donna Frisk, loving life-partner for 24 years; two sons, Michael and Mitchel; two daughters, Jody Gregory and Kelly Johnson; eight grandchildren: Josh, Chase, Sara, Kristi, Rachael, Cory, Andy and Logan; seven great-grandchildren: Torra, Taven, Tommy, Maddie, Charlie, Aubrey and Elysia; and Donna’s children, Michael (Heather) and Joseph (Jara) Frisk; and grandchildren, Maxwell and Gwendolyn.
Darold’s life was trucking. He was an owner operator for 47 years. He leased to several different companies including Figgins, Kivi, and was leased to Halvor Lines before his retirement in 2011. Darold loved dirt track races, and every weekend was spent at the tracks during race season. He will be sadly missed. R.I.P Darold.
