Harriet F. Kruger, 88, of Cloquet, Minn. passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton.
She was born Nov. 30, 1930 in Cloquet to Harry and Frances (Grabowski) Youngbauer and graduated from Cloquet High School in 1948. Harriet was united in marriage to Floyd W. Kruger, the love of her life, on April 7, 1956 at Salem Lutheran Church in Hermantown. Together they raised six children. Harriet enjoyed going to the cabin at Aerie Lake near Alborn, playing softball in her early years. She loved knitting, cooking and was famous for her bread. Harriet was a member of the Cloquet VFW Auxiliary, Cloquet Eagles Club, Cribbage League, and Zion Lutheran Church.
Harriet was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Walter Kruger; and two brothers, Gary and Teddy Youngbauer.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd Kruger; children, Nancy (Bill) Fox, David (Patty) Kruger, Keith (Shelly) Kruger, Ken (Deb) Kruger, and Kyle (Angie) Kruger; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4 until the 2 p.m. memorial service at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet, followed with a luncheon in the fellowship room.
