Northwoods' Brown inducted into credit union 'Hall of Leaders'

The Minnesota Credit Union Network recently honored Barb Brown, former CEO and president of Northwoods Credit Union, for being inducted into the Credit Union House Hall of Leaders. The Credit Union House Hall of Leaders was introduced to provide lasting recognition for credit union leaders whose commitment has made a significant impact on the credit union movement at the local, state or national level. Barb was previously inducted in a ceremony in Washington, D.C. March 10 and honored again this past weekend at the Minnesota Credit Union Network annual meeting. Brown's name will be displayed permanently at the Credit Union House in Washington, D.C.

Brown worked at Northwoods Credit Union for 32 years, serving as CEO and president the last 15 years. Northwoods is open to those who live or work in Carlton, Pine or St. Louis counties, with offices in Cloquet, Moose Lake and Floodwood.
