Paul Fisher, 70, of Cloquet, passed away May 19, 2019, in Duluth with his family by his side.
Paul was born on the family homestead in Carlton County Nov. 24, 1948. He graduated from Carlton High School in 1966. Paul married Karen Randall on Sept. 22, 1972.
Paul worked as a crane operator at U.S. Steel until it closed, and then worked as a truck driver until he retired in 2012. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and friends. He also enjoyed hanging out in his garage and doing backhoe work in his free time. Paul will always be remembered for his love of the hunting shack and the friends and family that were there with him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Jennie Fisher; brothers Johnny and Dale Fisher; and sister MaryAnn Connor.
Paul is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karen; children Mary (Tim) Franklin, Brian Nielsen, Amy Perrault (Rich Rustad) and Jenny (Pat) Sell; grandchildren Nathan, Emilee, Megan, Savannah, Jared, Marissa and Ali; siblings Joan (Don) Johnson, Jerry (Linda) Fisher, Judy (Jack) Swenson and Donna Mullenix; brother-in-law John Connor; sister-in-law Kay (Mark) Anderson; brothers-in-law Joe (Suzette) Randall and Mike (Jody) Randall; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Paul's family wishes to thank St. Luke's Hospice Center for their great care during his last days.
