Obituary: Richard Allen Likness Sr.

Richard Allen Likness Sr., 63, of Madison, Wis. passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 in Agrace HospiceCare.

He was born on June 19, 1955 and was adopted by Joseph and June Likness. He grew up in Saginaw and attended AlBrook School. He started working on the farm at the age of 15, and went on to work at the Diamond Match Co. in Cloquet. He moved to Madison where he married Yvonne Seabury on Sept. 16, 1989. Richard worked at Certco Inc. as a high forklift operator until retiring in 2016.

Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, motorcycling, and playing the scratch-off lottery.

He was preceded in death by his brother Anthony.

Richard is survived by his wife of 29 years, Yvonne; son Richard Likness Jr. of Stoughton, Wis .; stepchildren Sherry Morris of Duluth, Jesse (Megan) Seabury of Madison, and Jennifer (Oscar) Reyes-Seabury of Madison; sister Terri Carter of Cass Lake; eight grandchildren, Richard III, Aleks, Charlie, Manuel, Andres, Alondra, Alena, and Aiyanna; and one great-grandson due in August.

Visitation: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, May 30, 2019 in the Atkins Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet. Burial will be in Perch Lake Cemetery. A time of lunch and fellowship will follow in the Fireside Room of the funeral home.
