The volunteer appreciation breakfast held at the Villa Vista on May 21 was very well-attended. The staff and owners of this fine home thanked the many volunteers for their hours and hours of dedication to the residents. Special volunteers who are no longer with them were honored: Harold Haapoja and Jerry Haller, who passed away this year. Each volunteer in attendance received a beautiful plant for their gardens to remind them of their time with the residents.
Congratulations to Taylor Null and Eric Lake on their recent marriage on May 24 in Minneapolis. Eric and Taylor will make their home in St. Paul while he completes his Ph.D.

With school coming to a close, I'd like to encourage parents, grandparents and others to read to kids, keep them reading all summer long and don't forget that you are some of their best and most loved teachers. Reading for anyone can improve brain function, benefit your long-term health and reduce stress!
That's all the news from The Edge of Wright.
Have a great week and
start reading!
