Children have summer food source

The Cloquet Food Service Department will provide lunch to the children of Cloquet at no charge.

The 2019 Summer Feeding Program will provide nutritious meals to children who may not otherwise have access to healthy food when school is out.

Starting June 10, the kitchen at Cloquet High School will provide open lunch to all children and will continue through Aug. 15 from 11 a.m.-noon Monday through Thursday each week.

Children 18 and younger may receive free lunch through the program.

Lunches are also available to persons with disabilities over age 18, who participate in school programs for people who are mentally or physically disabled.

The Summer Food Service Program was created to ensure that children in low-income areas could continue to receive nutritious meals during long school vacations, when they do not have access to school lunch or breakfast. It provides

nutritious and free meals to children 18 and younger during the summer months.

The Cloquet High School cafeteria is located at 1000 18th St., Cloquet. For more information please visit http://www.isd94.org or call the Food Service Department at 218-879-5164
