The Carlton and Wrenshall school boards will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 9 in the South Terrace elementary school gymnasium.
The meeting will begin with a welcome from both board chairs, introductions and an overview of the agenda, along with ground rules for board members and the audience. Community members are welcome to attend and listen to the discussions, but public comments won’t be taken.
Next, the two superintendents will lead a discussion focusing on both districts and their challenges, as well as areas of current cooperation and collaboration.
Other items on the agenda follow in order of discussion:
• Preparing students for career/college/workforce readiness, to include what each district does currently and what they would like to see in the future;
• Board discussion on a vision for future collaboration between Carlton and Wrenshall school districts;
• Facilities overview for both districts including current conditions and needs (five minutes);
• Board discussion regarding vision for future facility configuration;
• The final part of the board meeting will be a discussion of next steps.
Again, members of the public are welcome, but don’t worry if you can’t make it. One or both of the school districts will be broadcasting the meeting on Facebook Live.
