Autumn (Adele) Aubút
Autumn Aubút, 64, of Carlton, Minn. passed away suddenly from a brain tumor Saturday, June 29, 2019 with family by her side.
Autumn was born Adele Aubut on Nov. 20, 1954 to Thomas and Donna Aubut of Duluth, Minn. Autumn was enrolled in the Metis Nation of the Rising Sun, Quebec, Canada. She graduated from Central High School in 1972. She attended the University of Superior Wisconsin and earned a degree in art therapy. She spent the last 31 years working in Native American advocacy for women and children. She was a licensed foster care provider who shared her love of life with many children who adored her and called her their "GG."
Autumn was accomplished in many areas. She was a dancer, and studied ballet and jazz under Ora Manella. She was also an author, licensed massage therapist, phenomenal cook, and had a black belt in taekwondo. Autumn loved all things beautiful - gardening, flowers, painting. She loved going on drives and taking photos with her daughter Amy. Autumn loved to pray with people. She always dreamed big and she never gave up on her dreams.
Most importantly, she was dedicated to the Lord and her grandchildren. Autumn's message upon leaving was "Accept the Lord into your heart."
Autumn will be deeply missed by her best friend of 48 years, Reinhold Berg; her children Amy (Kyle) Louhela of Cloquet, and Ryan Berg of East Bethel, Minn .; grandchildren Myrissa, Tanner, Tristan and Blake; great-grandchildren Calyb, Ailyea, Casyn and Coltyn; siblings Mitchell (Diana) Aubut, Sheldon (Patty) Aubut and Nannette Aubut; and many nieces, nephews, foster children and friends.
In celebration of Autumn rising to meet her king, her funeral will be held at the First United Methodist Church (the Coppertop) in Duluth on Saturday, July 13. Visitation: 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral.
