Take a field trip with the Cloquet Library to Thomson Dam on Monday, July 15 from 10am-12 pm. We will find out what’s under our feet, and unravel 2 billion years of earth history with a professor of geology at Macalester College. Meet at the UMD Outpost building along Hwy 210 next to Thomson Dam. Wear sturdy shoes. For ages 5 and above.

Space Camp 1-3 p.m. Monday-Thursday, July 15-18 at the Cloquet library. Students will tackle real-life engineering challenges with real-life NASA engineers via video conference. 50th anniversary of the moon landing Monday, July 15 at 6:30 pm, Cloquet library. Local astronomer John Cavanaugh will present new information about the moon landing. If you have memories of the moon landing, please attend and share. For ages 8 and above.

Monarch butterflies at the Cloquet library. Join Jay Cooke State Park naturalist Carly Hawkinson 6-7 p.m. Thursday, July 18. After a reading about monarch butterflies, you will learn about how magnificent they are through hands-on props and activities. This free program is geared for kids ages 5- 8 but all are welcome.
