Post box office rules reviewed in Carlton

Residents and businesses in downtown Carlton do not receive mail, but they do get free post office boxes. However, not all their mail is being addressed properly.

The U.S. Postal Service is reminding residents and others to include the post office box numbers on the mailing address rather than the physical address of the home or business in downtown Carlton. If a letter is addressed to the physical address rather than the post office box, the mail is supposed to be returned to the sender.
