Forestry center opens doors

There will be an open house at the University of Minnesota’s Cloquet Forestry Center, 175 University Road, Cloquet, on Wednesday, Aug. 21 from 4:30-8 p.m. This is fun for all ages and is free to the public. There will be self-guided walking tour, bonfire and s’mores, kids’ craft, food truck, wagon forest tour, educational talks and much more.

The mission of the Cloquet Forestry Center is to connect people and ideas to build understanding of northern forest ecosystems through field-based research, education, and outreach.
