Robert “Bob” H. Brander, 72, of Cloquet, passed away Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019, at his home.
He was born April 28, 1947 in Duluth to Walter and Sylvia (Ollila) Brander. He graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1965. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army. Bob retired as a pipefitter from the Potlatch Corp. after working for 35 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting and fishing, along with other outdoor activities.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia Maier, and his father, Walter Brander.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; two sons, Marc Brander and Scott (Debbie) Brander; four grandchildren, Maddie, Trey, Maycee, and Beau; one sister, Joyce (Lloyd) Layon; and two brothers, Rick Brander and Andy Maier.
A Celebration of Life took place Thursday, Aug. 29 at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet.
Military honors were presented by the Cloquet Combined Honor Guard.
