Letters: Street work is a cruel joke

To say I’m p.o.’d is an understatement.

Carlton County didn’t plan very well.

I see no benefits for the taxpayers. No more street parking, streets too narrow, sidewalks too wide, and losing lawn and driveways. Where are people supposed to park for family events, or garage sales?

I am wondering who determines what the county owns, and what the homeowner owns from the center of the street. Seems they are taking more than their share! Don’t see taxes going down any.

Negative issues include: no communication between workers and homeowners, people couldn’t get home because all streets were blocked, and workers were rude and sarcastic, besides the mess.

One homeowner was told, “If you don’t like the construction, move somewhere else till it’s done.”

Really?!

We didn’t ask for this crap, because it’s a big waste of our money. Enough is enough.

I’m fed up.
