Obituary: Kenneth Wayne Thiry

Kenneth Wayne Thiry, 68, of Cloquet passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019.

He was born Feb. 12, 1951, in Duluth to Clifford and Barbara (Palmer) Thiry. Ken was co-owner of the Greetings card store in Cloquet, and also worked in construction and industrial sales.

Ken was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Gary. He is survived by his wife, Judy; his mother, Barbara Thiry; sons Nick and Tim Thiry; daughter, Amy Johnson; stepson, Lance Kelley; stepdaughter, Lori Kelley; brothers Ron (Sandy) Thiry, Roger (LuAnn) Thiry, and Mike (Kim) Thiry; sister, Lori (Barry) Angel; five grandchildren including Kylee, Jake, and Zackery; five great-grandchildren including Finley and Archie; numerous nieces and nephews; and his babies, Dakota and Rosie.

The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to all who have been involved in Ken’s care over the last several years, and to the Carlton and Cloquet ambulance staff for their professionalism and efforts.

Celebration of Life: 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019 at the Cloquet Senior Center.
