The 46th annual craft sale will be held at the school during the first day of hunting season, Nov. 9. It all started back in 1974 when Pauline Stand, Jeannie Utter Smith, Jane Heikkila, Cindy Muse, Karen Frost got it going. In 1991, Peggy Olson joined the group. These gals decided to call it the Cromwell Community Craft Sale. They got into the new gym in the fall of 1993. They also decided to hold the craft sale on the first day of deer season because the “men shot the bucks and the women spent the bucks.” Throughout the years, the spirit of this craft sale provided an important role for the community and surrounding communities, bringing people together to socialize and more. In 2017, Pauline and Peggy decided to close the door, but their dream was that someone would start it up again. Well, that dream came true when several of the Cromwell-Wright teachers got together and revived the sale, renaming it the RedBird Craft Sale.
