'Jacks thrive at Megameet

Cloquet runners were among 176 competing in thier division at the Milaca Megameet Sept. 21 at Stone’s Throw Golf Course in Milaca.

In the boys varsity D2 category, the Cloquet boys claimed fourth, with a score of 124, just 20 points behind the third-place St. Cloud team.

The Cloquet boys were led by Jordan Allen, whose third-place finish in 17:09.4 was exceptional.

Allen said the race was a good confidence booster, but the senior said he still has a lot to do.

“All I can really do is buckle down and keep working hard with everyone else,” he said, crediting his teammates with running really well this season.
