Dotseth will seek House 11A seat

Republican Jeff Dotseth has declared his 2020 candidacy for Minnesota House District 11A, the seat currently held by Rep. Mike Sundin.

“As a fellow resident, I share in the love for this community,” Dotseth said. “Motivated by my concern for the future of Minnesota, I have become a candidate for the House District 11A legislative seat. My goal is to serve the people in this district by using my unique experiences to make Minnesota a better place to live, raise families, conduct business.”

Dotseth and his wife live on the family farm in Kettle River they purchased from his grandparents. He owns a commercial and residential real estate business headquartered in Zimmerman with an office in Moose Lake.

Dotseth has been an active member and past president of the North Metro Realtors Association, as well as a member of the Government Affairs Committee for Realtors and an active member of the National Federation of Independent Business. He also has served two terms as a Baldwin Township supervisor and is the vice president of the Chariots of Light, a Christian motorcycle ministry.

In a campaign press release, Dotseth said he is running to help restore proper priorities and common sense to state government and to help move beyond the gridlock that prevents meaningful progress from being made on important issues like health care, transportation and economic development.
