Jackson Joseph Pfister, 15, of Esko, passed away from natural causes on Friday, October 11, 2019. He entered our world on October 19, 2003. Jack was a sophomore at Esko High School, a member of the Student Council, and was active in the football and baseball programs. He also played on the Duluth Diamond Jaxx, a select travel baseball team. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and its Confirmation class. Jackson had an unwavering faith and was blessed with many gifts. He will forever be remembered for his kind, compassionate heart, humble leadership, and gentle spirit. Jack had a determination and passion for life. He enjoyed both watching and participating in athletics. He was a fierce competitor and loved to study the game. He played quarterback in football and shortstop in baseball. He also participated in youth hockey. His favorite places were the Lake, Florida beaches, and ballparks. He loved spending time with his family and teammates, as well as clowning around with his buddies, The Boys.
Jackson is survived by his loving parents, Matt and Brooke; beloved brother Nolan; grandparents Russell and Lynn Davidson of Esko and Phylis Pfister of Superior; aunts and uncles, Robyn (Steve) Panger, Amy and Peter Pfister, Bob Pfister, Donna (Mark) Peloquin, Darlene Pfister, Walt (Angie) Pfister, and Carrie (Ryan) Jewison; his cousins, Sam and Sophia Panger, Max and Nate Pfister, Betsy and Katie Peloquin, Marisa Althaus, Hannah and Aaron Pfister, Olivia, Owen, and Drew Jewison; and special friend, Brynn Martin. Jackson was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Pfister, and uncle, Bill Pfister.
Visitation will be held 1-4 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cloquet, Minnesota. Arrangements by Nelson Funeral Care, Cloquet. Shuttle services from Pinehurst Park to the church are available.
