Crosby-Ironton-26
Moose Lake/WR-22
Just when it looked like the Rebels would take a hard-fought win, the Rangers snatched the victory away with just seconds remaining. ML/WR led 8-0 after the first quarter on a Logan Orvedahl four-yard touchdown run and a Blake Juhl two-point conversion run. After the Rangers pulled to within 8-6 in the second quarter, the Rebels picked up a safety for two points make it 10-6 at halftime. The Rangers came out in the second half and scored on a nine-yard pass from Dakota Mitchell to Gabe Kramer to go up 12-10, but again they failed on the two-point conversion as C-I led the game after three quarters. The Rebels answered early in the fourth quarter when Juhl punched in a touchdown from three yards away to make the score 16-12 in favor of ML/WR. However, again the Rangers bounced back. Mitchell hit Kale Dugan on a 20-yard scoring strike for a 18-16 lead, but again failed on the conversion attempt. ML/WR showed its mental fortitude by scoring with less than a minute remaining on a 25-yard touchdown pass from Mason Olson to Landin Kurhajetz to go up 22-18, but they missed the extra point. On the ensuing kickoff, the Rangers got a great return deep into Rebel territory and with just seconds left on the clock it was Mitchell hitting Colten Turk on a seven-yard touchdown strike to give the Rangers a 24-22 lead.
