Clarence Badger, left, Rol Bromberg and Jeff Mayer posed at the Jan. 3 Lumberjacks hockey game when the boys played Holy Angels at home. Bromberg and Badger both worked at the high school together for decades. Bromberg was the longtime football coach and Cloquet athletic director who recently moved to the Twin Cities area. The football field in Cloquet is named after him. Badger was a business teacher at school. In retirement the pair have gone to as many Cloquet and University of Minnesota Duluth games as they could get to. Mayer joined them at this game. "I miss him," Badger said. He said Bromberg moved to be closer to family.
