The fifth annual “Beekeeping and More!” symposium is coming up Feb. 15 at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College.
Whether you’re a beginner or experienced beekeeper, there’s something for everyone.
The first workshop held in 2016 drew in more than 150 beekeepers, and the event has kept growing, making it one of the largest beekeeping workshops in northern Minnesota.
Session topics include beginning beekeeping, cold climate beekeeping, queen rearing, dealing with mites, bee nutrition and more. Expert guests include members of the Northeast Minnesota Beekeepers Association, University of Minnesota Bee Squad, Dr. Barry Brown, and Dr. Lawrence Connors, author of “Bee-Sentials: A Field Guide.”
Registration is $20 for association members, and $25 for non-members. Registration is encouraged and available online at http://www.signmeup.com/133564. Same-day registration will be available as space allows, with payment by cash or check only.
