Adrian J. Sturgeleski, 83, of Cloquet passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020, at Sunnyside Health Care.
He was born May 30, 1936, in Sturgeon Lake to Theodore and Gertrude (Mikrot) Sturgeleski. Adrian worked for Wood Conversion, Conwed and USG in Cloquet. After retirement, he worked for the Calvary cemeteries in Cloquet.
Adrian was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Carlton. He spent many years of life on his farm in Sturgeon Lake. He raised beef cattle and spent many hours working the land. He enjoyed snowmobiling and working on his tractors.
After moving to Cloquet, he kept active keeping his lawn beautifully manicured. His garage was just as perfect. Adrian took pride in keeping his home and vehicles in great shape. In his spare time, he would head to Kettle River and spend time helping cut firewood at his son Mike's farm and helping his daughter, Annie.
Adrian was preceded in death by his parents; his son Steve; brother Bernard; and sister, Josie.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; son Mike (Janny) Sturgeleski; daughter, Annie (Joe) St. Pierre; brother Jerome (Linda) Sturgeleski; seven grandchildren, Chris (Breanna) Sturgeleski, Karyn (Mike) Spurling, Wesley (Kelly) Johnson, Blaise Johnson, Cole (Cara) Johnson, Dean Johnson, and Graci Sturgeleski; three great-grandchildren, Ella and Odin Sturgeleski and Savannah Spurling; and extended family, special friends, daily visitors Doug and Dolly Curtis, and his neighbors Don and Judy Martin.
Adrian's family would like to extend a huge thank-you to the amazing staff at Sunnyside: Your special care for our dad brought much comfort to him and us.
