Students say goodbye to retirees and teachers in reverse parade

Washington Elementary School held a "reverse parade" Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. Retiring teachers sat in special personalized parade floats outside the building, while other school staff found a place to stand or sit so they could wave and chat with students who were driven (clockwise) past the school building. Teachers made signs with messages for students, and the weather cooperated.

There are a number of retirements in the district this year.
