Wright/Cromwell news

The 55th annual Wrong Days in Wright is a go, and will be taking place the weekend of July 17-19 in Wright with a scaled-back list of events. There are posters up around the area, so you can check on the events you would like to participate in. Remember to attend at your own risk, and that masks and social distancing are encouraged.

Buttons are available in area businesses, as there will be no door-to-door selling or king and queen candidates this year. They are still only $1 each, but there will be no prizes this year. Vendors and exhibitors are encouraged to call Leslie Wilson at 218-451-0018, or me at 218-357-2385, to sign up. Call Jake at 218-391-6765 to sign up for the parade, or just show up by Groth Lumber before 10 a.m. Saturday. The parade will start at 10:30 a.m., and be sure to wear gloves if you plan to throw candy to the kids.

Ann Heikkila called and said her husband, Wes, died June 25, at 87 years of age. He was a hale and hearty man at over 200 pounds, and was at only 135 when he passed from Parkinson's. Please keep Ann and their children, Calvin and Susan, and their families in your prayers. They were married for more than 60 years, and Wes was in the Silver Bay Veterans Home for the past couple of years. Cards can be sent to the family at PO Box 123, Wright MN 55798.

Our sympathy to the family of Artie Vigness, who passed away June 26, 2020.

My husband, Bob, is in the North Shore Estates nursing home in West Duluth. He is getting physical therapy and seems to be improving, so hopefully he can come home soon. Cards can be sent to us at 620 Center Road, Wright MN 55798. Feel free to offer your encouragement.
