There’s lots going on around Carlton this weekend.

At the Carlton VFW Friday: Bingo 4-8 p.m., music by Stranded 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday: Car show 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., bingo 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., horseshoe tournament with registration at 11 a.m. and games starting at noon, poker tournament 1 p.m., music by Most Wanted 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday: Bingo 12-5 p.m .; bean bag tournament signup at noon, karaoke in the evening.

At the Third Base Bar Friday: Music by Runaway 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Saturday: Music by Aftershock 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Sunday: Music with Shane Olson 1-5 p.m. Sign up for the volleyball and softball tournaments by calling 218-384-4515.

Inter-Faith Care Center rummage sale 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14 and 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15 at the Four Seasons complex in Carlton. For more information, call 218-384-4258.

The Carlton VFW’s fourth annual “Dream” garage sale is Sept. 11-12 at the Four Seasons complex. Your donations are needed to help make the sale a success. Please clean out your garages and attics soon to donate those unwanted items, and support the veterans in our community. Clean garage sale items (please, no clothing and shoes) can be donated by contacting Linda Kaehler at 218-428-0496. All proceeds go to the Carlton VFW.

The Carlton County recycling shed is open 2-6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday. Please observe social distancing for the safety of the employees and community members who are also using the recycling area. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.

The Four Seasons Sports Complex and Event Center board meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 11. The public is welcome to attend.

The Carlton Area Chamber of Commerce meets the first Wednesday of the month. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the meetings are being held virtually. For more information, visit carltonchamber.com.
