Community members, volunteer organizations, and elected leaders will provide reasons why it's important to keep CIP at the Willow River site during a "Stand Up for CIP Rally" starting at 5 pm Thursday, August 13.

Why: The Commissioner of Corrections, Paul Schnell, has proposed relocating the Willow River Challenge Incarceration Program (CIP) to a metro area prison as a cost saving measure to make up for a budget deficit due to unanticipated Covid-19 related expenses within the Dept. of Corrections.
