People express views by displaying signs, but some are being vandalized
There have been a number of reports of stolen or damaged political signs. Above, Jim Crowley's yard in Cloquet is awash in signs offering many messages to folks walking or driving by, but he brings his signs inside every night because he doesn't want them to be stolen. Below, Tony Sheda and Cindy Bourn said they repaired a Donald Trump sign outside Frandsen Bank and the Maytag Laundry in Cloquet about 10 times, with strangers helping out more than once (pictured). Because of repeated vandalism to the sign, they had to tape long cuts in the vinyl, paint over graffiti, and even add a "no trespassing" sign before the sign completely disappeared overnight Tuesday.
By Wednesday afternoon, Bourn reported that they had replaced the missing sign.
