Cromwell resident Courtney Kruse was recently awarded a $2,500 Teacher Appreciation Scholarship to Western Governors University. The scholarship is designed to help current teachers improve skill sets in the classroom or to assist aspiring teachers in obtaining the required credentials for educators.
Kruse, a special education teacher at Cromwell-Wright, is pursuing a master of science degree in curriculum and instruction from WGU. She was virtually presented with the scholarship Aug. 27 by WGU Strategic Partnerships manager Lauran Hundshamer.
