The Tri-Community Food Shelf in Cromwell is open 3-5:30 p.m. Fridays. Cromwell, Tamarack and Wright community members are welcome to stop in once a month. 218-426-4067

Join Mr. Dinger for Teen Reads 4:15-5:15 p.m. Mondays in the Teen Room at the Cloquet Public Library.

Tuesday, Nov. 10

Virtual Storytime with Ms. Keiko 10 a.m. Tuesdays, posted to the Cloquet Public Library’s YouTube and Facebook pages. Sing along with Ms. Keiko and then listen as she reads stories. Designed for up to age 5.

Friends of the Cloquet Public Library book sale 12:30-2 p.m. in the Friends Room. Masks and social distancing are required. Patrons are asked to bring their own bags, and place payment in the donation box (no change will be made). There will be a separate children’s book area in the hallway.

“Living on the Border with Pre-Diabetes” workshop 3-6 p.m. at Community Memorial Hospital. For anyone who has been diagnosed with pre-diabetes or would like to learn more about it. For more information or to register, call 218-878-7661.

Carlton VFW Post 2962 Veterans Day roast beef dinner starting at 5 p.m. To-go meals served by the VFW Auxiliary. No charge to veterans with DD Form 214. Others, $8 each, $5/age 12 and under. Sign up at the VFW post. Call the Carlton VFW, 218-384-3794, for more information.

Veterans Day turkey dinner at Cloquet VFW Post 3979, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. while supplies last. Pickup only, in the VFW parking lot. No charge to veterans with military ID. Others: $10 each. Sponsored by the Cloquet American Legion Auxiliary with help from the Cloquet VFW Auxiliary.

Thursday, Nov. 12

Ruby’s Pantry visits the Cromwell Park Pavilion 9:30-11 a.m. the second Thursday of the month. No boxes or bags needed; volunteers will fill boxes and bring them to your vehicle. $20 donation.
