Arlene Mae Rodd, 89, of Cloquet passed away on Nov. 16, 2020 at Sunnyside Health Center in Cloquet. She was born to Theodore and Emma (Thorman) Orth in St. Cloud on Feb. 10, 1931.
Arlene married George Rodd on Aug. 4, 1951 at the Presbyterian Church in Carlton. She was a homemaker, and her greatest joys included watching the accomplishments of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Some of her other passions were reading, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; and her five siblings, Donald, Leona, Lucille, Robert, and Gary.
Survivors include her children, Randall (Connie), Tayna, Wendy, Kerry (Roni), Timmothy (Nancy), Scott and Kipp; former daughter-in-law, Tami Rodd; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Sunnyside Health Care Center for the special care they provided Arlene in her final days.
A private graveside service will be held in the spring of 2021. Inurnment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
