Bandshell gets a new coat from parks crew

Parks department supervisor Karin Stedman said they went through 18 gallons of paint to get the job done for the first time since 2008, when the now 80-year-old bandshell was reconstructed. Due to the odd shape and high peak, the parks department had to rent a 40-foot lift to reach the higher areas, Stedman said.
