Rotary offers 125-mile snowmobile ride and poker run to raise money for kids

A round-trip snowmobile ride and optional poker run will take place March 6 from the Buffalo House to Cromwell and Wright, with a reception following the 125-mile ride.

The Rotary Rally for Kids is a rally set for 11 a.m.-7 p.m. March 6 to raise funds for children in the Carlton County area. All net proceeds will go back to the youth in the community through the Cloquet Rotary Club’s literacy program, school supply and backpack drive, clothing drive, and school lunch assistance.

The cost of the event is $30 to participate, but donations of any amount are accepted.

The snowmobile ride is open for all riders with a valid permit. Riders under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The post-race celebration is an all-ages outdoor event. The ride is set on 125 miles of mostly groomed trails but trail conditions may vary. Covid-19 protocols will be observed for the duration of the event. Registration for the event closes next week.
