Good luck to science students as they present their science fair projects. With a placing on Saturday, they could move on to state. Emaleigh Olesiak has a project called Air, Air Everywhere and the team of Isabella Anderson, Jack Irving, and Siiena Anderson have a project showing which soap removes germs most efficiently.
The Cromwell-Wright student council thanks the community, students and staff for helping collect donations for the Pennies for Patients program. They were shy of their goal, but considering the limits on the number of people allowed in the building due to Covid, they were able to collect $832 and 10 cents.

How many of you remember the late Aate Parviainen? Here’s a story about him from his granddaughter, Jill, as she remembered him on Feb. 19, his birthday.
“My grandpa died when I was in the eighth grade, but here is his legacy: his park and his great-grandchildren. He was the mayor of Cromwell for a very long time. My grandmother Sally would tell the story of him going to a town council meeting, saying he was considering running for mayor and her telling him if he does, his name is Mud. Well, when he came home, he greeted her by saying ‘Hello, Mrs. Mud.’ He went on to serve with distinction, having the little park next to the medical clinic in Cromwell named after him.”
“I recently found some papers he had written in school that my grandma and mom (Shirley) had saved. I’m not surprised at how smart and well spoken he was — he did manage a co-op, sold insurance and was mayor of Cromwell. His children were also extremely bright. But to me he was a quiet man; a fisherman, a woodworker, a gardener, head of the sauna, eater of spinach, and my most favorite person.”
