Lake Country Power members in District 9 will be selecting a new board member during the virtual annual meeting in April. The selection will be made from among three candidates seeking the position, including Larry Anderson from Esko.
I have known Larry throughout his adult life, beginning in high school. He has consistently demonstrated good judgment, good work ethics and good character. Larry is honest, forthright and forthcoming, all desirable qualities for individuals serving as board members. After all, they represent the distribution of one of our most important needs, affordable/reliable electric power. Larry has depended on and has been a part of the Lake Country Power family his entire life, since childhood as a family member, and head of household during his adult life. His knowledge acquired as a result of his broad construction background will be a real asset during the decision-making process. I think Larry Anderson is an excellent candidate and choice for the LCP board of directors.
Members in District 9 will receive official voting ballots the week of March 26. Remember also, Lake Country Power rates are not set and regulated by the Public Utilities Commission. They are set and regulated by the board of directors we elect. Therefore, it is important that we elect knowledgeable, responsible and honest board members. I encourage each voting member to give Larry full consideration when marking your ballot.
