The current County Seat Theater production explores the lives of those living in a small Maine town.
The County Seat Theater Company will present the romantic comedy "Almost, Maine" beginning April 9 for live audiences and online from the Encore! Performing Arts Center in Cloquet.
The play is described as "residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend-almost-in this delightful midwinter night's dream."
The story has nine short "magical moments" scenes, including new County Seat actors Mallory Polivka and Delilah Effinger. Bard Day, Joshua Effinger, Coltt Sullivan, Miriam Effinger, Jacob Louks, Ariann Smith, Tyler Anderson and Sean Biskey complete the cast.
The County Seat Theater will offer live performances with limited seating.
"We still only have about 40 seats available each evening so you really get the feeling of a private show," County Seat general manager Joel Soukkala said. "We want our audiences to feel safe when they return."
Live performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. April 9-10 and April 15-16. There will be 2 p.m. matinees and April 11 and April 17-18. The theater will have on-demand performances available for viewing at home April 12-18.
