The world changes. Our community or ecosystem changes and our ecosystem struggles to survive today. Gandhi made an observation about the future and suggested that actions taken today affect the future. Heraclitus, a Greek philosopher, referenced nothing stays stagnant because change is happening around us.
Our learned experiences are part of our individual restructuring process. We have forgotten our high school civics lessons or have a mental model of how things should be, which limits our growth opportunities to add restructuring value. Individuals gain information from personal preference sources without expanding beyond the limited scope of information because it supports the personal narrative.
We are encouraged to call on our elected and appointed officials to put aside their bias, which could assist with making the official open to change. We ask elected and appointed officials to strengthen our shared values and start addressing the shared issues that have not been addressed in the past or continue being fought against in the present moment. We cannot continue to allow politics get in the way of change. The political boundaries are a product of people’s mind and are bound to challenges. Again, change is constant, and we need politicians to move beyond talking points and take action that adds value to our community ecosystem. Old strategies are outdated and do not add value for a better tomorrow; therefore, it’s time to shift perspectives.
